چکیده
Scientific environment of the thesis: The Thesis will be carried out in the theoretical chemistry group of Nancy, within the SRSMC laboratory and the Jean Barriol Institute of Molecular Sciences at the University of Lorraine (Scientific Research Center CPM). The theoretical chemistry group of Nancy is internationally recognized as one of the leading groups in the development of quantum methods for the modeling of complex molecular systems. The laboratory obtained the maximum score A+ in the last available evaluation by the French National Agency AERES in 2012. The lab has access to the French National Computational Facilities CINES and IDRIS and is strongly involved in the implementation of the regional facility EXPLOR. The Ph.D. candidate will be also involved in an international collaboration with Prof. Simon Grabowsky (Institute of Inorganic Chemistry and Crystallography, University of Bremen, Germany) and in a local collaboration with Prof. Benoît Guillot (CRM2, University of Lorraine).

Gas contaminants capturing by gamma-carbonic anhydrase catalyst: A quantum chemical approach
In this paper, we used quantum chemical approach to shed light on the catalytic mechanism of γ-carbonic anhydrase (γ-CA) to convert carbon dioxide to bicarbonate ion. Density functional theory (DFT) using B3LYP and UB3LYP functional and three split-valance including 6-31G*, 6-311G** and 6-311++G** basis sets were used to calculate the details of electronic structure and electronic energy of act...

متن کاملTowards a quantum-chemical description of crystalline insulators: A Wannier-function-based Hartree-Fock study of Li2O and Na2O
A recently proposed approach for performing electronic-structure calculations on crystalline insulators in terms of localized orthogonal orbitals is applied to the oxides of lithium and sodium, Li2O and Na2O. Cohesive energies, lattice constants and bulk moduli of the aforementioned systems are determined at the Hartree-Fock level, and the corresponding values are shown to be in excellent agree...
متن کاملQuantum Chemical Modeling of N-(2-benzoylphenyl)oxalamate: Geometry Optimization, NMR, FMO, MEP and NBO Analysis Based on DFT Calculations
In the present work, the quantum theoretical calculations of the molecular structure of the (N-(2-benzoylphenyl) oxalamate has been investigated and are evaluated using Density Functional Theory (DFT). The geometry of the title compound was optimized by B3LYP method with 6-311+G(d) basis set. The theoretical 1H and 13C NMR chemical shift (GIAO method) values of the title compound are calculated...
متن کاملQuantum chemistry studies on structures and electronic properties of the Tolazoline drug on nano structure of fullerene
Tolazoline is a non-selective competitive α-adrenergic receptor antagonist. It is a vasodilator that is used to treat spasms of peripheral blood vessels (as in acrocyanosis).Tolazoline is indicated in the treatment of persistent pulmonary hypertension in the newborn (persistent fetal circulation) when systemic arterial oxygenation cannot be maintained by supplemental oxygen and mechanical venti...
